Pro Jank Footy Day-One Launch Checklist

Launch mornings reward people with a checklist, not a doomscroll. Pro Jank Footy unlocks August 12, 2026 on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch / Switch 2 (some Australian clocks read as early August 13 AEST—same wave). Night-before prep

2. Confirm local player count on that storefront. Xbox lists local multiplayer for two and online for two; do not promise a four-pad LAN fantasy without checking.
3. Charge pads and test HDMI / Game Mode — living-room lag is not “netcode.”
4. Skim System Requirements if you are on PC (~2GB class install on Steam messaging; Switch download size reported around 1.285 GB on deal trackers).

Unlock-morning sequence

1. Install / pre-load finish.
2. Optional patch check on the Updates Hub.
3. Open Controls once—tap handpass, hold kick.
4. Play Normal Footy for ten quiet minutes (Game Modes).
5. Pick a readable club from Clubs and Teams (Prawns, North Problem, Snags, Pinks, Fizzies, and the rest of the ~11 roster).
6. One Pro Jank match with house rules spoken aloud.
7. Only then open Season if you want the campaign arc (Season Mode).

What not to do on day one

• Do not hunt the retired Steam Next Fest demo—developers removed it after hit-out and other fixes made the build a relic (Tips and Tricks).
• Do not invent cross-play promises.
• Do not refresh Codes every ninety seconds during a match.
• Do not draft pure spice cards before you can convert goals (How to Score, Deck Building).

Party-host addendum

• Agree snack duty and pad duty.
• Rotate anthems so Dario Russo’s club songs get airtime.
• Keep volume high enough for Broden Kelly’s commentary to land, low enough that neighbours survive.
• Bookmark Discord / official links from the Links Hub.

Achievement hunters

Switch households should budget for the ~1.3 GB class download plus any day-one patch. PC players with spinning disks should install to SSD if they have one—party sports still hate hitching when a card cinematic hits. If Steam is down in your region at unlock, pivot to the console already in the lounge rather than rage-refreshing.

First-night scoring reminder

Before guests arrive, skim How to Score once more so nobody treats a behind as “nothing” and nobody forgets that a Pro Jank goal also feeds the opponent’s gift shop. That single reminder prevents half the night-one arguments.

First-hour scoring goals

Write three private targets on a sticky note: one clean Normal Footy goal, one successful handpass chain of three, and one Pro Jank match where you watch the opponent’s card before you tilt. Club and anthem pass
